Volleyball skills

Every sport has rules and regulations, which each player has to follow. Players playing that particular sport need the special skill set to win. In volleyball, the some of the basic skill set are as follows:
•    hit the ball,
•    to be in the right place at the right time
•    play competitively

If a team has the player with the above skill sets, they will not only win but will also achieve confidence in the sports.

If below given basics are followed by the volleyball player they will develop the skill set needed to win:

Serving
Serving is the most important part of the game as it starts and sustains the game. If the serving is good, it can also lead to winning the game.  Servings are of two types:
a) Overhand serving: Server first throws the ball in the air and then hits it.
b) Underhand serving: Server holds the ball and swings it with other arm underneath the ball and then hits it.
c) Other than the above two basic serving, there are other serves that helps to get the ball over the net, and keeps the game on.

Pass or reception
The setter of the game usually decides passing the ball. The ball is taken and passed on to the other member of the team. This way they pass the ball to the other side as they want to. It can be done by passing by forearm or hitting the ball above your head.

Tip
This is the clever trick used by the players to make a goal. By this player trick, other team player by pretending to take the ball very far but suddenly they hit the ball over the net.

Dig
Player slides the ball underneath to save it from hitting the court.

Rebound
When the ball is on one side only, the player rebounces by taking the ball back.

All such types of hits are possible only when the players can make effective and free move. The players should have a plan regarding hits and the way that it would affect their feet movement. We can take an example of the dig hit, in which player slides the ball underneath to save it. While serving player needs a proper balance to hit the ball properly.
